Apps for your phone
Phone apps, starting from how people will really use them
Not every idea needs an app in the store. Sometimes a page that opens from a QR code does the job better. We look at who will use it, and how, before deciding — then build it for iPhone and Android.
What we build
Phone-first web apps
They open from a link or a QR code, with nothing to install. This is how guests order and pay in Inspo Order, from their own phones.
iPhone and Android apps
Built on web technology with Capacitor, so one app runs on both — with the camera and other device features where you need them.
Apps for your staff
Taking a photo on site and sending it, checklists, stock counts — tools your team carries in their pocket.
Start small, then grow
Try the idea as a web app first. If it earns its place, much of the same work carries over to a store app.
What we have built ourselves
We don't show invented client stories. These are things we build and run ourselves.
Inspo Order
Guests scan the code on the table and order and pay from their own phone, with nothing to install.
This website
Every page, in all three languages, is laid out to work on a phone as well as on a computer.
Notes on how we build
- November 1, 2026I had not asked who would press itI put the screen for changing a quantity inside the customer's phone. In 3 weeks there were 310 quantity changes and 4 of them came from a phone. The rest were said out loud at the counter.
- October 22, 2026I verified it on 1 printer and applied it to 5 modelsI laid out the kitchen ticket at 48 columns. The 48 was a real measurement, taken on 1 printer out of the 5 models we supported. On 3 of the other 4, the quantity dropped onto a line of its own.
How it works
- 01
Tell us about it
Write to us about what's in your way or what you'd like to do. It doesn't need to be organised.
- 02
Design, spec and quote
We decide the system design and specification, then explain the scope, timeline and cost clearly. Free up to this point.
- 03
Development
We build to the spec step by step, showing you working versions along the way, so changes of mind can be picked up early.
- 04
Launch, and after
We help you all the way to launch, and we're here for fixes and improvements afterwards.
About cost
It depends on what we build, so we quote after hearing from you. "Let's try something small first" is very welcome. Consultation, design and the quote cost nothing.
Frequently asked questions
- Do we need an app in the App Store?
- Not always. If people use it now and then, a web app that opens from a link is often enough, and quicker to start. If they use it every day, or it needs device features, a store app can be worth it. We'll suggest which fits.
- Will it work on both iPhone and Android?
- Yes. We build one app that runs on both.
- We only have an idea. Is that enough?
- Yes. Tell us what you have in mind, and we'll sort it into what to build first.
